BLACK WINTER

Black Winter is an old style cold war thriller set at the end of the Third World War. Born out of the RPG Twilight:2000, this was based on a scenario written for the group I was running at the time. Still set in Europe, it follows the events of winter of 2000/2001 and the efforts of a British Long Range Recon unit struggling to decipher the course of events that indicate the conflict is about to take a more deadly and sinister twist. In terms of the scenarios published by GDW it fall 6 months after 'Going Home' and the American withdrawal.

Completed just after the fall of the iron curtain and the demise of the world second superpower, it found a market no longer interested in the final showdown.
